 Since our beginning in 1987, Artefact
has specialized in antique fireplace mantles. Spanning the late eighteenth
century through the twentieth century, we offer a vast array of mantles
in wood, marble, slate, and stone.
The majority of our wood mantles have been hand stripped and restored to their
original elegance, though we always have on hand a number of original finish
fireplace mantles. Our collection includes simple mantles in pine or poplar and
more ornate pieces in oak, walnut, cherry, mahogany, and other hardwoods.
In addition, Artefact carries a number of fine marble and stone mantles. Most
of our pieces are American in origin, but we also offer fireplace surrounds from
England, France, and Italy in styles including, but not limited to, Classical,
Renaissance, Georgian, Adams, Federal, Victorian, and Modern.
